The Windows Filtering Platform can be very noisy when it comes to the audit logs…
To turn this off:
- Go to the Local Security Policy
- Navigate to Security Settings | Advanced Audit Policy Configuration | System Audit Policies – Local Group | Object Access
- Change Audit Filtering Platform Connection to “No Auditing”
- Change Audit Filtering Platform Packet Drop to “No Auditing”
No Auditing is accomplished by :
- checking the “Configure Filter Platform…” box
- leaving unchecked “Success”
- leaving unchecked “Failure”
